$1.5 Million Grant Given to Aboriginal AIDS Group  (AHA Center)

The Canadian Institutes of Health Research has provided a five-year grant of $1.5 million to create the Aboriginal HIV & AIDS Community-Based Research Collaborative Centre (AHA Centre). This funding supports community based research development across the country and emphasize regional work with national coordination.

The AHA Centre focuses on four areas:

  • Partnership building and maintenance
  • Capacity building
  • Research promotions and support
  • Knowledge-to-action
